Our plan was to have our landlord come by on Wednesday at 10, walkthrough the house so we could get our deposit back and then hit the road. Oddly he came to the door at 6:30 when Cady was out at her workout and asked if 11 would be 'OK'. It was still nearly pitch black, why couldn't he just have called or emailed?
Anyway when she got back, she started kicking the cleaning machine into high gear and this was the point when that last minute stuff really started leaching out of the crevices. Needless to say we weren't ready to leave at 11. Turns out the reason he wanted to make it 11 was that he had an appointment with a couple to look at the house. Hope they didn't mind all the cleaning and packing going on around them.
We straightened things out with him and after they left, Cady still had lots of cleaning to do. We decided it would be easiest if I took Autumn and the boys somewhere to get them out of her hair. We went to Marymoor Park for one last visit and once more I have to say just how much I love that park. I showed the boys where the Sammamish River forms from Lake Sammamish, a spot my friend Tom introduced to me, and then checked out the meadow trail that I had never been on before. This is a park pretty much in the middle of Redmond where you can find spots and feel like you're miles away from everyone.
Long story short, Cady made that place spotless and we slept that night in the trailer in our driveway. Guess the trip will start on October 1st!
