Ironworks

When we bought the trailer I requested that a bike rack be added. The service guy made a big deal about the setup he used. As I've been getting everything ready I was a bit anxious about hanging all of our bikes off of this and started looking at it more closely. The sticker on the hitch mount says clearly not to use on anything other than a welded bumper and ours was clearly not (not only not welded but lousy little rivets holding it together); WTF!?

So after worrying about this and going over it in my head for a while I searched for "welding woodinville" and found this place called McVay's Welding over in Bothell. I had the address in hand and the guy I spoke with on the phone said they were right next to the McDonalds. Easy right? Well, I wound up driving by the place 3 times before calling them back to get more clarification. It was clearly visible from the street but down a slight hill behind the Beehive Coffee Shop. Here's a picture:

For the life of me I can't figure out why I hadn't noticed McVays or the McDonalds, LOL. The greater Seattle area is dense with little coffee stands and some of them, like this one, have girls with skimpy little outfits serving up the latte's. It was like there was a cone of invisibilty surrounding this place as I drove by apparently. Anyway... Here's Suzie backed into the welding shop and the new and improved brackets:

I highly recommend these guys. Great service and quality work. The frame will break before these welds do. Now it's time to load it up...
